Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Tax Department as an Administrative Assistant!

About the role

The Administrative Assistant will support the Tax Department and function as an Office Manager. In this role you will provide a range of clerical/administrative support tasks including the organization, prioritization, and coordination of work including confidential information. The ideal candidate for this role will reside in commuting distance of our office in Bellevue, Washington, and be willing to come in as needed (typically no more than once per month). This is not a requirement for consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Compose/edit/proofread a variety of correspondence, reports, policies, forms, and other printed or electronic materials.
  • Create and maintain organizational filing systems.
  • Mail out tax returns and correspondence.
  • Reviewing, scanning and forwarding incoming communication.
  • Maintaining tax return documentation and historical records in SharePoint and other systems.
  • Assisting with tracking deliverables and maintaining project management system in SharePoint.
  • Supporting departmental transformation projects to increase efficiency across tax department.
  • Supporting regulatory filings and other finance activities.
  • Assisting team members with other administrative tasks as assigned.

Your education, experience and skills

  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Able to operate at a high level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Detail oriented, self motivated, and able to multi-task and problem solve with minimal direction.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of follow up and responsiveness.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on SharePoint.
  • Experience with tax administrative matters preferred.

PKI Administrator-Remote job

Public key infrastructure (PKI) governs the issuance of digital certificates to protect sensitive data, provide unique digital identities for users, devices and applications and secure end-to-end communications.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience designing, deploying, and supporting PKI environments in a Windows domain. Experience deploying internal certificate authorities, issuing external certificates from external certificate authorities and installing certificates on systems, and building out and maintaining certificate authority databases, as well as designing, deploying, and supporting the use of smart cards for system authentication across the agency
  • 2+ years’ project lead experience, demonstrable history of leading successful deployments of enterprise class solutions, skilled at producing technical documents and engineering diagrams, strong written and verbal skills, team focused
  • High school diploma/ GED required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Remote with up to 20% travel
